I love, LOVE LOVE a moving live performance of a song favorite of Lady Squeezes. Marina and the Diamonds did not fail the test last night on the corny Craig Ferguson show. It is cute that for her first live performance in America, she choose her fellow British Islander to showcase her delicious Staccato vocal stylings. I also could squeeze her tight for her cute little jumpsuit in the style of the flag. Not something I would wear but it did remind me of a pair of red stripped Benetton pants I wore in the olden days.
I digress.
This song is dedicated all the bitches out there who refuse to realize that being vulnerable and soft is more attractive than being an ice queen, stiff back bitch. Listen, no one is perfect , certainly not me, but pretending as though you have no feelings and that nothing hurts you is wack. Pretending like you are perfect and never wrong is wack. Like Marina said," Better to be hated than love, love, loved for what you’re not."
You’ve been acting awful tough lately
Smoking a lot of cigarettes lately
But inside, you’re just a little baby
It’s okay to say you’ve got a weak spot
You don’t always have to be on top
Better to be hated than love, love, loved for what you’re not
You’re vulnerable, you’re vulnerable
You are not a robot
You’re loveable, so loveable
But you’re just troubled
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
You’ve been hanging with the unloved kids
Who you never really liked and you never trusted
But you are so magnetic, you pick up all the pins
Never committing to anything
You don’t pick up the phone when it ring, ring, rings
Don’t be so pathetic, just open up and sing
I’m vulnerable, I’m vulnerable
I am not a robot
You’re loveable, so loveable
But you’re just troubled
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Can you teach me how to feel real?
Can you turn my power on?
Well, let the drum beat drop
Guess what? I’m not a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
